Sarah Palin and Vice Presidential Powers

Sarah Palin's remark on Thursday night that "we have a lot of flexibility in there" under the Constitution and that she was "thankful that the Constitution would allow a bit more authority given to the vice president also, if that vice president so chose to exert it" is to me chilling in light of the fact that she is surrounded by Bush loyalists (neo-cons) who would love to keep control of the White House propoganda machine and need to control the Office of the Vice President in order to protect themselves.  Michael Isikoff of Newsweek discusses what is going on here

Charges have already been brought in France against Rumsfeld and during a trip to Paris in 2007 he had to be spirited out of the US Embassy in order to avoid  

It has already been noted that top Bush administration officials are in danger of arrest and prosecution if they leave the US.

Remember, it was a Spanish court that brought charges against Chilean strongman Augusto Pinochet who was arrested in London in 1998.
