As a frequent flier all I can say about today's incident in New York is bravo to an experienced, brilliantly trained and very brave pilot and his crew.
The details of what happened today are amazing. It seems that this very quick-thinking professional made a decision to make a water landing between 57th and 42nd Streets because he knew that there would be many water taxi's and ferries right there to rescue his passengers. Bravo and Wow!
